We took a day during our trip to head down to the beach in Santa Monica. We were really glad to make it back to the beach! Last summer when we were in California, we went to Newport Beach and blogged about it here. It was fun going as the three of us this year!
The weather was actually quite cool at the beach, even in August. It had been overcast all morning, and the sky finally cleared in the early afternoon. We bundled up the little guy because the breezes coming in from the sea were chilly.
