This is beautiful Stephany at six months! Things are going very well with the pregnancy! We went to see Stephany's doctor this morning. They gave her the glucose test today, where they have you ("you" being the pregnant person) drink a really sugary drink and then draw blood from you an hour later to check for gestational diabetes. They also measured her belly and checked our little boy's heartbeat, which sounded good. All in all, things are going well.
We've mentioned before how we enjoy the resources available on BabyCenter. Here is BabyCenter's explanation of what is happening with our little one right now, at 24 weeks:
"Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing 'branches' of the respiratory 'tree' as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon."
Here is a diagram of fetal development at 24 weeks. We enjoy checking these out each week and learning about our boy's development.
In addition to being super excited about becoming parents soon, we are generally doing well. I take the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE), a requirement for law students prior to being admitted to the bar, tomorrow morning, and Stephany will be working. I have about four more weeks of classes left before final exams and then one more semester of law school!

Looking great, Stephany! I really can't believe how fast the time flies when other people are pregnant. When i was pregnant, time just seemed to drag on forever. But when I'm watching other people go through it, it seems much faster!
I like it when they tell you she weighs as much as a parsnip haha!
Well, this week we have an "English hothouse cucumber"! It's so exciting! :)
